[REVIEW] SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)

Sorry for not posting regularly lately. I have been so busy with life changes and I get to tired that writing a blog seems impossible. Now that I have a 4 days Christmas holiday, I might as well write a good quality blog for you guys.

I have heard about Sulwhasoo Brand for quite a time now and I now they are high end brand and they are expensive! One of my friend owned this line, the Evenfair Perfecting Cushion. I heard that it was voted as the best cushion product 2013 by the Korean version of "Allure". So, feeling adventurous I decided to buy them despite the high cost.

SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)
I bought no. 13 in light pink which is not 'pink' at all judging from the colour of the products.
The packaging is very nice a elegant looking compared to the other brand of bb cushion.
The Sulwhasoo has this gold lining and pretty much slimmer than other brands' packaging.
In short, they look expensive.
Oh, it also comes with the re-fill!

SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)
Unique elegant packaging
They have the golden decoration at the edges.
In side, they have the mirrors and puff (brown colour), just like other bb cream.
Again the gold lining is a major difference. I like the feeling of luxury that I get from the packaging.

SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)
What it looks like inside.
Underneath the lid, the cushion is still protected with the protective stickers.
The texture is light, just like other brands.
The colour is not what I expected honestly.

SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)
Not exactly light pink, OK
Here is the Caution statement and what I want to highlight is the 5th points: "2% or more arbutin"
What is ARBUTIN?

They are whitening agents! They works very quickly on the skin by not only whitening your skin tone, but works well as moisturizer too. it can as well fitler out harmful UV rays.

Arbutin is a relatively simple chemical, with a glucose attached  to a hydroquinone.
What makes a difference is that arbutin does not have the side effects that hydroquinone seems to have.  Arbutin also has anti-cancer activity on melanoma cells, apparently by regulating expression of the p53 tumor suppressor and cell apoptosis. (read more: here)

They do have the better coverage than other BB cushion I might say and they last long too!
I think the colour suits my skin I guess (on real life, not on camera).
Here is what it looks on my skin.
Too light? May be?

SULWHASOO Evenfair Perfecting Cushion no.13 (Light Pink)
See the gorgeous coverage and dewy complexion

Overall Thoughts: 8/10

  • Price : IDR 750K++ (prices might increased already)
  • Pros  :
    • Contains SPF 50+/PA+++
    • Does brighten your skin when wearing the products
    • Last long through out the whole day
    • Good coverage
  • Cons:
    • Due to the dewy complexion, my face sometimes looks 'oily'
    • I am not sure that I get pimples because of this products, but I have mild breakouts lately.
    • EXPENSIVE!
  • Repurchase : Not sure. I might if I got some discount. Plus, if I am sure that the breakouts is not caused by the products.
  • Recommended: YES! I think it is very suitable for Asian skin tone and if you need high and long lasting coverage. If you have spare money and looking for a high end brand to add to you bb cushion collections, why not try this? It worth the try.

[REVIEW] Peripera Lip Water Tint in #5 Strawberry Pink

By now, most of you must have guess that I am a big fan of MeeJMuse unnie.
I love her videos, I agreed with most of the opinions that she talked about, and I found that I am in love with the products that she loves as well.
Thus, I am always looking for what products she is loving as a references.
(Not all the products she loves will suits me anyway)

One of the reasons why I am buying this lipwater is because she loves it and I fell in love with this colors when she wore it on one of her video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhNGS43ygSU
This one!!

Since Peripera brand is not available 'on store' at Indonesia, I have to buy it online.
This color, #5 Strawberry Tint a.k.a Candy Juice is a new color and not all online shop has it.
I need to order them from the one in Jogyakarta (Center Java) #determination

Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink
Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink
It comes in a very cute packaging. Look at the cat-lady.
The product comes in a small glass-like container that I am sure is plastic.

Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink

It has some production code printed on the bottom on the container.
Is it the word "Jeju" written there?

Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink open
It comes with a build in sponge applicator.
The applicator is somewhat pointy means that it is user friendly.
The liquid is watery. Living up to the name water tint.

I tried to apply the products on the back of my hand for a test.
It absorb quite fast. See on the left picture, the edge of the product already turns into a soft looking pink.
After blending it out, the color was even out. There is no reddish spots, dots, or harsh line left out.

Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink
Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink applied as blusher
As I am sure about the blending 'ability' of the products, I am going to check it out on my cheeks as a blush.
I know some products like benefit, tend to leave some dots or marks when you leave it even for just couple seconds. But not this products.
Turns out that it blends beautifully without leaving spots and the color is quite nice.
Since it is a water tint, the color pop out quite nicely and it last longer than powder blush.

Left: Bare lips
Center: Applied Peripera Lip Water Tint #5 Strawberry Pink, and blend out
Right: Close Up

It turns to a beautiful shades of reddish pink. Not too red, not too pink.
After blending out, the color looks like a beautiful naturally looking lips.
I love it.

Review:

Price: Rp 70K-110K
Pros:
• Beautiful color, natural looking
• Medium durability (gone after meal)
• Easy to blend out
• Cheap with loads of products
• Beautiful Packaging
Cons:
• Tend to dry up the lips (since it is a water tint)
• Not easily found
Recommended: YES!! The color is sooooo beautiful <3
Repurchase: Maybe? I love the color but since I love exploring other color (now I am having plenty of other colors). I guess I will think about it later.

Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)

I have been loving the Dior Lip Glow.
I have a tendency to have a dry cracked lips and the lip glow really helps my lips to look healthy effortlessly.
The product will react with your body pH and turn to a color depends on it.

However, it is expensive. I purchased it last year at Singapore Duty Free shop at around Rp 350K and now, with dollars climbing up, the price has reach up to more than Rp 420K (last I checked).
It is not long lasted (only for 2-3 months?) I do not think that it is quite an investment.

Then...
I found out about the Secret Key Sweet Glam.
They claim to be the cheaper version of Dior Lip Glow.
I was curious and I decided to buy it.
Secret Key Sweet Glam Color
I bought the one in #1 Baby Pink as it bears the most resemblance to the Dior Lip Glow

This is the comparison of the product packaging.
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow) --- THE PACKAGING
At a glance, it looks almost similar: the color and the design.
Although, the Secret Key's packaging tend to be 'plump'er and shorter.

Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)
See that the secret key's are bigger yet shorter.
The bottom of the tube is different too.
The secret key's bottom is in a soft square with the production codes and stuff.
Dior's bottom is a round end, with CD initial engraved. More elegant I guess.
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow)
Applied on the lips, there is a different actually.
The Secret Key's are more moist and have the oily feel.
Dior's are moist without the 'too-oily' feel.

The color is different too, as you can see on the picture below.
Secret Key (Sweet Glam) vs Dior (Lip Glow) Color
There is a slight difference.
Dior (left) are more matte yet moisturizing and the color are more of a natural lip color.
Secret Key (right) are more dewy/oily and the color are slightly brighter (reddish) then Dior's

Which one do you like more?
I personally didn't like the too oily feel on my mouth. I am not comfortable with that, that is why I am leaning towards lip tint and lip water all this while.
But I guess I can live with Secret Key.
With price, comes quality, right?

[REVIEW] Holika Holika Wonder Drawing 24H Auto Eyebrow Pencil #2 Dark Brown

I have been wanting to use an eyebrow pencil for a while. I have been only using eyebrow gel (mascara) all this time and I think eyebrow pencil will be better to give definition and tidy-up my brow compared to mascara type.

Eyebrow make up has been popular since quite a time by now but it is a whole new world for me to venture. I have naturally medium thick eyebrow which is slightly arched.

I am still learning how to groom my eyebrow

Since I have a profound love for Korean Make Up products, I am going to buy mine from those range. My first choice is actually the The Face Shop Lovely ME:EX Design My Eyebrow. However, I got the  Holika Holika Wonder Drawing Eyebrow Pencil haha. I was couple bucks short from being the member, and I remember that I need an eyebrow pencil. So, well.. the difference should not be too extreme right?

Holika Holika Wonder Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
Holika Holika Wonder Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
It comes with 2 ends: a brush and the pencil-like end
The eyebrow pencil is somewhat crayon like but when applied on turns somewhat powdery. The color is dark brown which matches my current 'ombre' hair. It lasted all day and the brush is good at evening out the harsh edges.

Holika Holika Wonder Drawing Eyebrow Pencil
This is the color on my skin
I am somewhat still a freshman in 'brow-drawing-faculty'. There are lots of things unknown to me and I am still exploring the areas. I know that with my round face, I am not allowed to draw the straight korean eyebrow as it will make my face even more round.

Source here

I decided to play it safe at first, following my natural eyebrow line.
Eyebrow tutorial Holika Holika Eyebrow Pencil
from the left:
1. bare eyebrow
2. draw the outline of the eyebrow
3. fill the sparse area
4. brush it to blend out harsh edges

And I am done!
Natural enough?
I am not exactly satisfied.
I will definitely update further techniques that I discovered that are quite easy and natural looking enough for daily wear.

Review:

Price: Rp 110K-150K (I forgot the price)
Pros:
• Long last, Waterproof
• Good packaging, Good Brush.
• Good color
• Relatively cheap
Cons:
• After couple of weeks, the end of the pencil tend to be kinda blunt and it is quite hard to draw define line with it
Recommended: Yes, it is a good one.
Repurchase: Probably not. I still want to try The Faceshop ME:EX

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder [REVIEW]

I finally found my Holy Grail Face Powder!!!!
Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder!
Yup!
It was that Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder!

I used to believe that all loose powders are the same, until I found this Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder. This is an amazing products, trust me. I first found out about this through countless beauty vloggers who loved and have been preaching about the goodness of this products for centuries. After I tried this, then I know the reason why!!

Innisfree is quite a famous brand in Korea. However, there is no official Innisfree store set up in Indonesia yet. The only way to purchase this item is through online shop. I bought mine for 95K but then I found another store selling at 75K! *sigh* I won't put the store name there tho.

All right, back to the products, the loose powder comes in a small round green container with a small puff.

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder

Believe me, I am shocked at first when I saw how small the product is. I even have it measured!
It is only a 5.5 cm diameter products.
Well, it is handy although it means it only contains little amount of products; and I wonder why it is so cheap. Oh well.

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder Diameter

The loose powder is suppose to be translucent but the color of the powder is white. It does give a slight white tint to your face, although hardly noticeable after couple hours (less if you are in a hot and humid area)

Innisfree No-Sebum Mineral Powder content

Ir claims to be all natural, contains mineral from Jeju, and is a sebum-free formula.
And I can say that, YES!! It is!
I honestly haven't encounter such a long lasting loose powder before Innisfree Mineral Powder! It sticks to the skin perfectly and last until long enough that I do not have to re-apply them to conceal my oily T-zone!
I love it!

Review:

Price: Rp 75K - 95K
Pros:
• Long lasting,my T-zone is not as oily as without this
• Neutral color, it is translucent
• Contains mineral
• Relatively cheap for the size
• Portable, it is really small!
Cons:
• Very small!! :'( which means it contains only a couple mg of products. I am getting ready for the new one! haha
Recommended: YES!! This is honestly a holy grail products for me with the combination of my oily skin and tropical area, nothing can hold the make up better than this!
Repurchase: YESSS!!!

[REVIEW] CLIO Waterproff Kill Brown Pen Liner

I am ruining out of eyeliner for 2 days before the parcel containing my CLIO waterproof Kill Brown Pen Liner arrived. I was using the K-Palette Eyeliner Tattoo 24 H also in Brown for a year and it has just finished.

I heard there are tons of good review about CLIO's eyeliner, therefore I decided to buy it.
I found one on Qoo10 for Rp 155,000,-
There are two options to the waterproff eyeliner: Pen or Brush. I am confused but ended up buying the pen liner. I thought that the brush must be too "brush-y" that it will be very hard for me to apply it. But then, now I was thinking that I might have made a huge mistake by taking the pen liner.

I miss my K-palette so much! I think I am gonna repurchase it.

The CLIO liner is made in Japan. Claimed  to be waterproof, and have no smudge formula. It is also recommended for beginner.

I do not find it all true though:

Waterproof ✔️
Its the common, most basic procedures.

No Smudge Formula ✖️
Not really 'No Smudge' actually. It comes off in small dust-like pieces. It doesn't stay as long and as strong as my K-palette *started crying*
In addition, I do not think that this eyeliner is suitable for people with oily face or for you who life in tropical or humid area. The products fades overtime. It gets overshadowed by the eyeshadow. Can you see the difference???? It is just like the eyeliner is being 'eaten' by my eyeshadow!!!

Beginner Friendly ✖️ (?)
This is might be my fault. I have been using eyeliner for 3 years and I have never use any pen liner before. I bought this liner, wrongly. The end of the pen is really sturdy and pointy that it kinda hurts my eyelid. *sob* I cannot apply it nice and as evenly as my K-palette. It doesn't dry fast enough. My K-Palette dries up within seconds so when I blink, the product won't get into my upper lid. I am really sad and disappointing.

After countless good review from all the beauty vloggers and bloggers, I am so very disappointed.
I think this eyeliner will sit on my drawer or ended up in someone else's make up box.
I am Sad

I do not even feels like reviewing this product.

Review:

Price: Rp 155.000 (before delivery cost)
Pros:
• Well, the cap has a springy function which was nice.
Cons:
• Smugde, after all day wearing it, it is just half of it left on my eye
• Not recommended for all day use in tropical area, it is somewhat 'over-ride' by the eyeshadow
• The color is not strong, you have to apply it over and over but the tip is so hard, it hurts your eyelid
• Not realt waterproff
Recommended: NO.
Repurchase: HELL, NO.

Aritaum Full Cover Stick Concealer No. 1 (Light Beige) Review

It is the firts Aritaum product that I owned. I have heard about the brand for quite a while as they are quite popular among the beauty bloggers and vloggers for their quality. I was a bit doubtful at first, whether to buy or not to buy this product because I have never owned a concealer before. Although I feel like I should try it to see why people are loving it so much!!

What makes concealer so special that people cannot live without them? or cannot use foundation, or BB cream, or CC cream to replace them?

Why use concealer, Paula's Choice
This is the first thing I found on Google.
Not an alternative to all-over foundation, but compliments it.
So why not just use your foundation twice?
Then, I found this on Yahoo Answers
They can cover up tougher imperfection! I assume with smoother finish?
Dark circle? Any one?
Oh, and once in a while, pimples?

So, by then I decided I will buy the concealer. The Aritaum concealer is the yellow type. Aritaum is not available here in Indonesia. I bought mine from Qoo10 (Indonesia Gmarket) from a selller Best Prize Breezy, you can access them here. I chose the seller as they offer the low delivery rate (Rp 39,000) and I bought several other stuffs from them. (Parcel delivery cost from Jakarta-Pontianak is around Rp 26,000)

Aritaum Concealer in #01 Light Beige
Aritaum Full Cover Concealer in No. 01 (Light Beige)
It is a stick concealer with a pen-like shape with two ends
The first end is where the concealer is, it has creamy texture but once on the skin, it feels a bit powdery
The other end is where a soft brush that I assumed is attached for blending purpose

I cannot wait to try but I have make up on my face at that time. So, I applied it to the back of my hand. Fortunately, I had a bruise from bumping a chair the other day (I am a clumsy) that I will try to cover.

Aritaum Full Cover Concealer in No.1 (Light Beige)
1. There is the bruise
2. Applied the concealer and blending
3. I guess its 80% gone

I was thinking, NOT BAD! but then I have no comparison as I have never owned a concealer. But hey, I can use BB/CC cream for this, right?

Therefore, I decided to use it on my face the day after. I apply it to the recommended area: eyes, nose (near nostril area), and pimples. I also use it as a eye primer as I am running out! And I am loving it.
Aritaum Concealer
Left: Bare Face
Middle: Concealer applied on eyebag, nose, cheeks, eyelid, and troubled areas
Right: All concealer blended

Now I know why people are buying concealer, it covers blemishes and dark spots perfectly without the heavily layered coverage like BB/CC cream. It makes the skin look flawless with just concealer along.

As an eyeprimer, they work wonders as well! I think its roughly the same as if you are using eyeprimer as eyeshadow base. They do the color justice and they prevent creasing. Although I will still buy an eye primer.

Now I am loving concealer and I thank God that I found them! Will going to try liquid concealer next time for sure!

Review:

Price:  It cost me Rp 97,000,- on Qoo10

Pros:
• Good Coverage
• Feels light on my skin and doens't cause any break up
Aritaum Concealer Full cover stick
Some product residue is left
on the packaging
• Cheap

Cons:
• I think it blends better when I dab it with my hand. I do not use the brush. I think the packaging will be better without the brush.
• The consistency is cream and they put it in a twist up packaging. Some of the products are wasted  when we twist it back.

Recommended: Yes! It has good coverage, doesn't feel heavy on my skin, long last, and doesn't cause any break out. It matches the skin tone well. Oh, you are supose to buy concelaer in 1 shade lighter that your foundation color.

Repurchase: Not sure. This is my first concelaer, I think I should try several brands and type to know what worls best for me. Haha! I am feeling adventerous already.

HOLIKA HOLIKA Aqua Petite Jelly BB Cream #1 Light Beige (REVIEW)

After my long term CC cream finally be drained till its last drop, I decided to not repurchase the product and switch to another brand. Why? Because, aren't we all adventurous ladies?

I bet you all must have heard about this BB cream before as they are often voted as the holy grail BB cream by a hell lot of beauty vlogger: Michelle Phan, MeeJMuse, Sunnydahye, and a lot more!! YES, it is the HOLIKA HOLIKA Aqua Petite Jelly BB Cream!

The infamous Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream
The infamous Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream
They are famous for their light, watery, jelly like consistency that gives you a cooling effects and feeling that you have nothing on your skin. Not to mention durable and high coverage! It is very suitable for tropical, hot, and humid weather in the country I am living in. It also have SPF 20 PA++. I was swoon over the marvelous reviews and I manage to get mine at their stores here in Jakata for Rp 297,000. I bought the eye brow pencil and masks and I manage to get the member for Holika Holika here!

Lets start with the box.

The infamous Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Warning

There are some notes on the side of the box that catch my attention. They have a warning attached on the side of the box. This is quite rare. I was a little bit put off by the warning as I think that the product might consist of heavy or irritating substances that might troubled my skin. Well, you know, getting a warning sign even before trying out the product triggers the red light on my brain.
They include some storing and handling direction as well.

Next up on the other side of the box is the product description, direction to apply, and the ingredient. The main component of all is water. Just like the name of the product: Aqua Petit Jelly.
The infamous Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream ingredients

The little turn of about this product is that it contains paraben. As we all know, paraben is a common preservative used in cosmetic products, which in the long run might caused cancer. Oh, well. It is quite hard to find a paraben free Korean cosmetic products. I will be looking forward for the time when they can totally remove paraben from this products. But for now, I will be using this product.

The product comes in a elegant glass packaging which is quite sturdy but I don't think it is travel friendly. I am worried that I might drop it and the glass packaging might break. They give you a white sponge as well. I assume that as the consistency might be watery, the sponge will be needed as the finishing touch to remove/dab off the excessive products.

Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Packaging
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Packaging and sponge
I bought mine in #1 Light Beige because the shop assistant recommended me this shades over the #2 Natural Beige. My skin in naturally pale, somewhat of the Caucasian Pale, and I do not have any Caucasian Heritage, I think. (Although some of my aunties and my grandfather look like Caucasian). Let that just be an unsolved mystery and Lets gets back to the review.

The inside of the glass bottle is the BB cream and a spatula applicator attached on the cap. I am having a hygiene concern here.
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Packaging Inside
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Packaging Consistency and Spatula
As you can see here the consistency is amazing. It lives up to its name, Aqua Petit JELLY. I have been pulling out the spatula for couple minutes while taking the pictures and yet the products still stays on its place, not moving much. I tried to pick it up and it feels like pudding jelly. You know the Paris Baguette Pudding, it feels exactly like that.
Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Consistency Pudding
Left: I know it is a bit gross. But the consistency is amazing. It doesn't fall off my fingers.
Middle: Applied on my hand. It feels a bit powdery when we blend it our
Right: A smooth finishing. Not too dry, not too dewy.

It feels really light on my face and it is refreshing. The coverage is awesome and it is durable even after all day outdoor activity.

Review:
Price:  Rp 295,000 on the Holika Holika Outlet
Pros:
• Good Coverage
• Durable
•  Light on skin
•  Doesn't causes any breakouts
• Have SPF
• Cheap
• The color matches my skin well and it oxidize well on my skin.
Cons:
• Spatula applicator (hygiene issues)
• Glass Bottle Packaging
• Paraben
Repurchase: Most probably NO. I love to use a different type of products and this one contains paraben. ButI will see when the times come.
Recommended: Even tons of bloggers and vloggers are recommending this products! I do not think this segments is needed honestly. YES! It is awesome and this might me one of the best BB cream I have ever use!

Simple Korean Eye Makeup for Beginner (ASIAN EYES)

Eye is the window of the soul...

... and, it is the most important feature to "enhance" when we are applying our make up as it is the focus of our face and the first face-feature that people notice from us (eye contact). I am sure you have seen Elsa without her make up.

Elsa Without Make Up
Elsa without Make Up

or, let's imagine Mrs. Panda without her 'eye shadow'

funny-Panda-eye-makeup
Now, you know why it is soooooo important

I personally believe that the term "you have a beautiful eyes" doesn't stand for nothing. People are attracted to your eyes the first thing and it is one of the important feature to tell about our personality and to convey our emotion. We do a lot of things with our eyes alone, seeing, showing emotion, flirting, communicating, convincing people, detecting lies, and the list goes on and on.

If your eye make up is too heavy, you will look older; too little or no make up, you will look like you are just wake up and languid. Apply it correctly, you can create an image that you want people to perceive, whether it is professional look, mature look, mysterious look, etc.

Office Look
Everyday,
youthful look
Party Look

these images are taken from google for example purpose.

To conclude: eye make up is so damn important. Not only because eyes is the first thing people notice from us, but the impact it has on our overall face and people's perception of our personality. (Although, yes, the overall make up and attitude does count!)

Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, which is also true when we are talking about our eyes. Every shapes and sizes are beautiful because God's made it, and God's never make any mistakes. Everything was planned and shaped perfectly. I was against 'plastic surgery in the name of beauty' as that means you are not being grateful of what God's has given to you.

Everyone is beautiful, and make up was created to enhance that beauty. Knowing all your strong point and able to enhance that; knowing all your flaws and cover that, with paints and powder, that is make up is all about.

I do not have a hell lots of products to switch here and there or have lots of make up techniques. I am learning and I am sharing it. I own couple of stuff with good quality and try to maximize those stuff for my face. My steps are relatively easy to follow even for beginner as I am a beginner as well. It is flawed here and there but what/who's a better teacher than trials and errors?

SO, LET'S START!

1. Apply your eye cream

There is no secret that the essence of Korean Make Up is to create a youthful and natural look while maintaining the healthy glow of the skin. In a country where Skin Care is equally important as Make Up, as the first step of your entire eye make up procedures, of course you have to apply the eye cream!

It is a general knowledge that the skin around our eyes is the thinnest of our body, it is 10 times thinner than the skin in our face! so, always use your ring finger to apply any skin care or make up around your eyes. Be extra careful to not put too much pressure as it may caused collagen breakdown or hurts the tissues around the skin which may lead to dark circle and wrinkles in the long run.

L'Ocicitane Immortelle Eye Care & Mask Duo
L'Ocicitane Immortelle Eye Care & Mask Duo
I am using my L'Occitane Bright Eye Immortale. The texture is watery and not too creamy or heavy to my eyes and my eyes feel refreshing and moist afterwards. Been using this for a year now.
Applying eye cream helps us maintain the moisture in our eyes and to kinda protect them from layers and layers of make up that will come later. Be extra careful in choosing your eye cream. You will not want the eye cream that is too heavy for your eyes as it will caused the eyes around your skin to have the little bumps, which is a big NO-NO. Do not be hesitate to ask for samples before investing your money in the products and make sure to use the eye cream that suits your needs (anti-wrinkle, whitening, etc). I also suggest every one above the age of 21 to start applying eye cream, it will help to slow down the wrinkling!

2. Apply your eye primer

A lot of people might not be aware of the purpose of eyeshadow primer, hence they are not using it. I have just recently been using eyeshadow primer when I get them for free from Urban Decay's with my purchase of NAKED2 palette. I found that my eyeshadow actually last longer and the colors are more vibrant than without the primer. Plus, might be another psychological thingy, but I think the primer helps to protect my eyelids' skin and to act as the barrier for the eyeshadow (so that the coloring substances are not touching my bare skin directly).

I am using my Urban Decay's Eye Primer in sachets, a complimentary gift from my eyeshadow palette purchase.
Urban Decay's Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer
Urban Decay's Anti-Aging Eyeshadow Primer.
Always apply primer to protect your eye's
thin skin and for your eyeshadow to
last longer.
Always use your ring finger to apply anything on you eyes.
Ring finger has less power and put less pressure to
eye's fragile and thin skin.

3. Apply your Eye Shadow

After preparing your eyes with the primer, we come for the fun part, eyeshadow. Until recently, I never know how to apply eyeshadow. I will just owned 1 color, which is dark brown and apply it on the crease near my eyelashes and that's it.
Then, after numerous trials and errors, I found the way that is easy enough to follow!

I am using my one and only eyeshadow which comes in a pallete, Urban Decay's NAKED2. I have no other eyeshadow other than this. The colors below are the ones that I am constantly using as they suit my eyes best. I love the earthy colors which creates a natural looks. Chopper is my favorite. I usually match what I am wearing with the matching shadow to accentuate my look.

How to apply NAKED2
1. Apply 'Bootycall' to the 1/3 inner corner of your eyes
2. Apply 'Chopper' to the area number 2 (major half of your upper eyelid and lower eyelid)
3. Combine 'Suspect' and 'Snakebite' to apply on your crease area (area number 3) and blend inward
4. Take 'Halfbaked' with your finger and dab lightly on the mid of your upper lid to create dimension)
It actually looks better in real life, the camera couldn't catch the colors well enough. TT,TT

4. Eyebrow

Eyebrow has been gaining huge huge popularity lately, especially where I live, Indonesia. A lot of people actually neglect the importance of eyebrow for their whole appearance and I used to neglect it too. I am blessed with thick and quite define eyebrow so it doesn't really concern be before, no matter how many people were raving about brow-thingy.

Little that I knew, eyebrow does give a lot of impact to our overall face as strong, straight eyebrow will give you a youthful, softer look which the Korean like. Where as the thinner, curved eyebrow will give you the mature look the Westerner like. Well groomed eye brow will give you a tidy, professional look as well. So, never let your eyebrow hairs run astray.

I honestly haven't found the perfect way to shape my eyebrow. I was thinking of doing an eyebrow tattoo which is very popular among young ladies here in Indonesia, but my mother forbid me to do that.

Right: I am using ETUDE Color My Brow is shade number #1
Since I have somewhat define brow, I am just using the eyebrow mascara to fill the missing parts of my eyebrow and to give it colors (since I dyed my hair dark brown). I am still learning but I will update this blog once I am pretty sure that I have found my 'perfect brow'.

5. Tear Liner
One of Korean's latest make up technique invention, the tear duck liner is not to be missed. The purpose of giving the area near your tear duck a shimmering glow is to make your eyes bigger and brighter. If you have never try this before, you should! It worth the try. I actually get a lot of curious questions about my tear duck liner products and how it makes my eye bigger and brighter.

Apply on the inner corner of your lower lid (near tear duck)
This will give you a big, bright, 'awake' eyes.
You can use shimmering eye shadow like the NAKED2 'Bootycall' or any other type of eye products that can give you the shimmery look. However, I am using the Etude Play 101 in shade number 4. It comes in a pencil packaging with sharpener at the bottom. The pointy pen-like-shape is making it easier to apply the line more precisely. The texture is creamy and glittery but long lasting and smudge proof. I usually wear it whole day and it actually stays.

The texture is creamy and shimmery and it last long.

6. Eyeliner

Eyeliner is one of the important basic make up. Undoubtedly, wearing an eyeliner can give you a more define eyes as it outline your eyes, creating an illusion that they are bigger or longer depending on your needs. The use of eyeliner has been tracked back since the ancient Egypt and by today, there has been a lot of improvements in the drawing style and types of eyeliner.

I have an oily skin around my T-zone area so I preferred the liquid eyeliner in forms of pen or brush compared to gel or pen. I used gel eyeliner before but it smeared pretty fast and at the end of the day, I usually turn to a panda. I always use a waterproof eyeliner as well.

K-Palette 24H Tattoo Liner in Dark Brown

Since I dyed my hair dark brown, I am using dark brown eyeliner. I used the K-Palette 24 H tattoo liner. The color is soft and natural and the brush is precised. It is a brush liner. I used to use black liner before, but that give a too-fierce impression on my face as I already has a too-big-eyes for my face.

Left: Apply on the upper lid of your eyes until the end. You can go up for cat eye look if you wish.
Right: Softly, draw a thin line on half of your lower lid. This will help creating an effect of larger eyes.
There are couples of way you can wear you eyeliner. You can do cat eye to make your eyes longer and more upturn. I used to love cat eye look before but now I shifted to a softer more "puppy eye" look that is pretty popular in Korea right now.

Instead of drawing the end of the eyeliner UP, you just continue to draw it until the end of your natural eye shape. In my eyes, it will look like the picture on the left. After that, continue to draw a soft, thin line from the end of the previous line under the lower lid. I like to draw mine until the middle part, where it will connect to the tear duck line that I drew previously.

7. I AM DONE!!

TA- DA!
Here is the finish look.
Eye Make Up
The Finish Look

I personally are not fond of mascara because it was hard to remove, clumps easily, and feels heavy on my eyes. But you can top this look with mascara if you would like to.

That's all of my eye make up for daily use. If I somehow discover a new way to do my eye make up, I will definitely update this post. But for now, this is it!
